THE PROCESS

Each COLLAGE is created by layering an assemblage of images cut out by hand and structured with glue, tape and spray adhesive. The BACKING is a heavy gauge crescent board or foam core. The MATTING is cut and painted by hand or laser cut and painted by hand. The FRAMES are refurbished and also painted by hand.

Detail plays a pivotal role in every D.E.A.D. project; to deliver balanced, meticulously crafted, highly articulated 3-dimensional physical collage models. The end goal is to create art that enhances your environment and gives the viewer something intriguing to get lost in.

Shape, context, concept, color and spatial relationships are critical while striking a balance between the micro, macro and backdrop. This assemblage when all said and done, creates a cohesive visual explosion of what can be internalized as collage.
